The ISCIII Platform for Dynamization and Innovation (ITEMAS) has the following objectives:
- Provide high-level scientific, technical and technological support services to R&D&i centers in Health Sciences and Technologies, especially to stable collaborative structures that carry out their activity within the scope of the National Health System (SNS).
- Effectively energize the industrial capacity generated from the SNS and the actual transfer of the results of the research carried out within the SNS to the productive fabric.
The IBiS is one of the 26 Units funded in PT23 (2024-2026) that work collaboratively to achieve these objectives through the development of the strategic plan and the making available to researchers and innovators a portfolio of services.
The IBiS Unit is made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals belonging to the signatory institutions of the IBiS agreement, experts in health areas (surgery, oncology, infectious diseases, etc.), in technological areas of transversal application (ICTs/Digital Health, Biomodels /3D manufacturing, Biomaterials, CPI, etc); in innovative technologies (e.g. CART); as well as in technology transfer management and industrialization.
In addition to the common services of the ISCIII Platform, the IBiS offers a unique portfolio of scientific-technical services that addresses all phases/blocks of the innovation process.
The IBiS collaborates in this initiative with other hospitals, Institutes, Technology Centers and companies linked to this initiative under the figure of Associated Units and Centers.
