"Teaching course in ONCOIMMUNOLOGY at high oxidative stress: SABR"

Organization:

Fundación Pública Andaluza para la Gestión de la Investigación en Salud de Sevilla (FISEVI), Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla (IBiS), Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío, Anatomical Geometry.

Aims: Steretactic ablative radiation therapy (SABR) generates not only genetic damage, even breaking cell membranes which facilitate interaction with modern immunotherapy and other epigenetics changes. High-dose ablative treatments results in the release of detritus of tumor-cell containing molecules that may be inmunogenic. It is time to unite synergies in oncoimmunology at high oxidative stress, whose their results depend decisively of many details still to be defined:

· Updating participants about biological effects of combining immunotherapy  and SABR in normal and tumour tissue
· Stimulating case-based discussion on the interdisciplinary treatment of cancer.
· To make the attendees critical users of models and better at making model-supported decisions.
· Presenting future perspectives for combining inmunotherapy and SABR

Target group:  The course is aimed at radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, biologists  and physicists involved in the multidisciplinary treatment of cancer.

* The course will be taught mostly in Spanish
