OBJETIVOS
En los últimos 20 años hemos asistido a la introducción de diferentes terapias biológicas para el tratamiento de enfermedades comunes tales como psoriasis, artritis reumatoide, enfermedad inflamatoria crónica intestinal o cáncer. Estos logros se fundamentan en nuevos descubrimientos en el terreno de la genómica y en la comprensión de los mecanismos que regulan la respuesta inmunitaria innata y la propia inflamación. El objetivo de éste tercer encuentro de la Escuela de Biomedicina UIMP-IBIS es debatir sobre diferentes circuitos de la inflamación que han sido asociados a la patogénesis de diferentes enfermedades y sobre cómo los logros en este área pueden conducirnos al diseño de nuevos enfoques terapéuticos para un grupo importante de enfermedades.
El curso se dirige tanto a estudiantes del área de Biomedicina como a jóvenes investigadores con interés en la inflamación tanto desde el punto de vista básico como clínico.
In the last 20 years,different biological therapies have been introduced for the treatment of different diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic disease intestinal or cancer. These achievements have been possible by discoveries in the field of genomics and for the understanding of mechanisms that regulate the innate immune response and the inflammation. The objective of this third meeting of the School of Biomedicine UIMP-IBIS is to discuss the different circuits associated with the pathogenesis of different diseases and also to debate about how the achievements in this area can lead to design new therapeutic approaches for these pathologies.
The course is aimed at students of the area of Biomedicine as well as young researchers
with interest in both, basic and clinical research.
