The group develops clinical research projects, in the form of epidemiological and observational studies, quasi-experimental studies, randomized trials and meta-analyses, in different areas of infectious pathology.
Currently, members of the Group lead work packages in European projects (COMBACTE-NET, COMBACTE-CARE, COMBACTE-MAGNET, ECRAID, ORQUESTRA, REVERSE, PRIMAVERA) and randomized trials funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ASTARTÉ, NOBACT, INTENSE, DURATIOM), among other projects.
The Group, together with the one led by Dr. Álvaro Pascual, is part of the Virgen Macarena University Hospital Group of the CIBER of Infectious Diseases and coordinates the Andalusian Network for Clinical Research in Infectious Diseases (ANCRAID), and coordinates the activity in Spain of the Ecraid consortium for the development of clinical trials in infectious pathology in Europe.
