Sterilization, Cleaning and Cryobiology

Sterilization, Cleaning and Cryobiology Department of the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS) is responsible of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of surgical, glass and plastic materials from the laboratories and general services of the center.

It is also responsible of the sterilization of culture media and solutions.

It also performs the calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of common equipment in the service.

In addition, it provides support to users who need the use of this equipment.

Another of its objectives is to control and recharge the liquid nitrogen tanks used to store samples from the different laboratories.

The department’s technicians also provide support to other IBiS General Departments.
