Biomedical Research Support Service (SAIBIS)

IN GENERAL

• The use of equipment for which authorization or the presence of the Responsible Technician is required is prohibited until authorization is granted.

• The equipment open to users will be accessible without limitation of hours or holidays with the prior knowledge of the Responsible Technician of the Service or by reservation of the same from the Platform.

• To access this Platform from here, select the Biomedical Research Support Service (SAIBIS) on the left side menu, where the available equipment will be displayed. The first reservation carried out on the Platform must be reviewed and supervised by the Service Technician, granting authorization for use once the applicant's data has been verified.

• Training on the use of the equipment is the responsibility of the Service Technician.

• We request maximum punctuality in the equipment reservations. If the delay is more than 15 minutes or if misuse of the equipment is detected, the Responsible Technician has the authority to cancel the reservation or, if necessary, prevent the use of the equipment.

• The Responsible Technician has the authority to prevent the use of the equipment if it has not been previously reserved.

• At the end of the use of the equipment, both the equipment and the corresponding computer must be turned off, unless otherwise instructed by the Technical Staff.

• The equipment shall not remain on during the night, unless authorized by the Responsible Technician.

• It is mandatory to keep the equipment clean and to manage waste properly, following the Center's waste management rules.

• Official Doctorate Program courses approved by the University of Seville-HUVR can be carried out, prior notice to the Responsible Technician and reservation management through the Service platform.

SPECIFIC RULES

• QuantStudio 7 Flex:
• The user must specify in the reservation: NAME, LABORATORY to which it belongs AND BLOCK to be used in order to prepare the equipment previously.
• Reservations for this equipment will be accepted 48/72 hours in advance depending on the availability of the Technical Staff.
• The user will be able to create his own experiment in the Software hosted in the computer, but the manipulation of the equipment is limited to the Technical Staff of the Service.

• QuantStudio 12K Flex:
• Use of the QuantStudio 12K Flex is restricted to Service Technical Staff, as is its AccuFill loading robot.
